Urbanest Carlton is located on Berkeley St in the vibrant suburb of Carlton just 100 yards south of University of Melbourne Campus and 10 mins north of Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and the Central CBD area.

This building was purchased unconditionally from a local developer in August 2012 with existing Development Consent and within a challenging time period, Jon Whittle headed the team that value engineered the design, in particularly the facade construction, secured a varied development consent, negotiated a building contract in the order of $20m with Infinity Construction Group, secured funding, investor approval and started on site initially under an early works package.


This twelve storey development is well under way to reach practical completion in just 14 months from beginning of the project. When complete, in time for the start of the 2014 academic year, the property will offer students 186 units intelligently designed as fully furnished large studios, twin share studios and 2 bed apartments, all benefitting from first class facilities including management centre large social area, games, study and TV rooms.
